Causes Of Fatigue

QUESTION: What are the causes of fatigue?

ANSWER:

One of the greatest causes of fatigue, which leads directly to illnesses such as Adrenal Fatigue and Chronic Fatigue, is stress. With the ever-growing pace of life in this present day and age, stress is becoming more and more a factor in nearly everyone’s lives.

Main stress factors are:
  • Divorce, high on the stress list, can bring a heavy sense of guilt and/or rejection with it. The result tends to be ongoing stress which can easily be a cause of fatigue.

  • Bereavement, which is inevitable in everyone’s life, is very difficult for many people. It is not easy to put aside deeply felt grief and move on, and this again is a cause of ongoing stress leading to fatigue.

  • Unemployment, particularly for men, is a great stress factor. This can easily lead to depression, which automatically adds to the stress overload. Constantly being short of money and worried about how to pay the bills will also have the same effect.

  • Being diagnosed with a serious illness also causes fatigue.

  • Having unreasonable demands made by employers in the workplace; bringing with it the fear of losing the job if targets are not met is a constant and ongoing cause of stress, which is also a cause of fatigue.

  • Guilt is another factor that often leads to fatigue.

  • Being a natural “worrier” is also a way to leave you vulnerable to fatigue. With all the pressures of this modern age, worry is something that is common to all. It is good to remember that Jesus told us to live one day at a time and let God take care of tomorrow (Matthew 6: 25-34). If we get to know Jesus through reading the Bible and believe and act on His words, we shall find a wonderful peace of mind and heart that will enable us to live each day without worrying about the future.

What do you think?
We have all sinned and deserve God’s judgment. God, the Father, sent His only Son to satisfy that judgment for those who believe in Him. Jesus, the creator and eternal Son of God, who lived a sinless life, loves us so much that He died for our sins, taking the punishment that we deserve, was buried, and rose from the dead according to the Bible. If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, "Jesus is Lord," you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven.

What is your response?
